Production Engineer

Production Engineer focuses on carry out planned repair and maintenance of printing and bookbinding machinery, ensuring compliance with company and legal standards.

What the role involves

• Carry out planned repair and maintenance of printing and bookbinding machinery, ensuring compliance with company and legal standards.
• Supporting installation and project work on equipment within the printing and bookbinding trade, as well as other site equipment.
• Work independently and proactively to maintain high standards of maintenance and health & safety.
• Assisting in supervising and training apprentices.
• Perform regular testing (PAT, fixed wiring inspections, RCD testing) to ensure compliance with statutory regulations.

Skills and requirements

• Proven experience in the maintenance.
• City & Guilds/NVQ in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and safe working practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Confirmed role details

• Our client, an established Bindery firm based near Padstow are seeking a permanent electrical engineer to join their team.
• £35,000-£45,000 per annum.
• Shift pattern will be arranged.
• Permanent position.
