Production Manager focuses on to ensure scheduling are up to date with any work and that all jobs are accurately planned to completion on or before delivery dates.

What the role involves

  • To ensure scheduling are up to date with any work and that all jobs are accurately planned to completion on or before delivery dates.
  • To review the department operating procedures and continuously improve its performance.
  • Resolving any departmental needs, both technology wise and staffing levels.
  • Advise on capacity constraints and the need to load balance /outwork – Identify with scheduling to outwork when necessary.
  • To build relationships with outworkers and identify periods to prebook outwork capacity in the peak periods.
  • To work with I.T and the MIS system to build capacity reports and chair morning production meetings with management and scheduling teams to discuss current and future production.
