Production Planner focuses on convert the master production schedule (mps) into a finite, executable weekly production plan and release work orders accordingly.

What the role involves

  • Convert the Master Production Schedule (MPS) into a finite, executable weekly production plan and release work orders accordingly.
  • Leading daily production meetings, reviewing prior day performance, constraints, and recovery actions.
  • Reporting weekly performance against plan, highlighting risks, recoveries, and trends.
  • Coordinating closely with Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Production teams to confirm material availability prior to order release.
  • Ensure continuity of production and achievement of customer delivery targets on time.
  • Evaluate machine, labour, and shift capacity to identify bottlenecks, overloads, and constraints.

Skills and requirements

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a Supply Chain/Engineering/Business related field, or relevant experience considered in lieu.
  • Strong experience working with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including analysis and reporting of large data sets.
  • 30 days annual leave.
