Project Controls Manager focuses on leading all project controls activities across strategic projects.

What the role involves

  • Leading all Project Controls activities across Strategic Projects.
  • Provide accurate, timely project and workstream reporting in line with contract and governance requirements.
  • Supporting development of project controls processes and procedures across Strategic Projects.
  • Delivering data‑driven programme reporting at project, workstream and portfolio level.
  • Work closely with cost, risk and commercial teams to provide integrated performance insight.
  • Supporting supply chain and subcontract strategies, ensuring project controls requirements are embedded.

Skills and requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in Project Controls delivery (15 years preferred).
  • Strong Primavera P6 experience.
  • Ability to support delivery through data analysis and constructive challenge.
  • Primavera P6 Formal Certification.

Confirmed role details

  • Cumbria, Whitehaven (minimum 3 days per week Onsite).
  • Full-time inside IR35.
  • Duration: Initially a 12 month rolling contract.
  • Operate in a complex, regulated environment, ensuring project controls standards align with company governance while supporting delivery across client and supply chain interfaces.
