Project Design Engineer

Project Design Engineer focuses on assisting in the creation of standard 3d models and library parts (workload permitting).

What the role involves

• Assisting in the creation of standard 3D models and library parts (workload permitting).
• Producing 3D models for estimating weights, volumes, interferences, determining complex geometry, etc.
• Designing products that comply with applicable design codes, e.g. ASME VIII, ASME B31.3, etc.
• Designing products that comply with applicable governing legislation, e.g. 2014/68/EU (PED).
• Producing material requisitions to ensure all material/quantity/technical requirements are identified.
• Liaison with Quality/Production to ensure ‘sub-contract’ and ‘in-house’ activity is considered and controlled.

Skills and requirements

• Minimum GCSE Grade 5 (equivalent grade C) or higher in Maths & English HNC in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Essential knowledge of Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.

Confirmed role details

• Up to £52,000 (depending on experience) plus performance bonus (paid twice yearly in June & December payslip), Plus Flexitime (employees can choose their working pattern).
• Due to team expansion and booming industry, we are seeking a Project Design Engineer on a permanent basis.
• Liaises externally with clients, certified authorities, third party inspection bodies, suppliers, sub-contractors, etc.
