Project Logistics & Schedule

  • Seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support a major substation development in the South West.
  • Contract duration: Starting 2nd March and running through to end of December.
  • Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm.
  • No evening or weekend work expected.
  • Project Overview

  • The project is part of a large-scale infrastructure development involving a 400/132 kV substation supporting significant regional assets, including a major data centre and an EV battery manufacturing facility.
  • The site is currently in the mobilisation phase. While construction activity is heavily civils‑focused at present, this position is specifically for a power-focused Project Engineer.
  • The wider programme is anticipated to run through to 2029.
  • Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

  • The role requires candidates to hold relevant authorisations, including: Earthing Application Person (EAP) Earthing Control Person (ECP) Low Voltage Authorised Person (LVAP)
  • These accreditations typically require prior experience on National Grid projects.
  • The ideal candidate will be capable of coordinating multiple work packages and operating with the mindset of an Assistant Project Manager, rather than focusing on a single task or discipline.
