Job description
As a Project Manager, the work centres on managing and evaluate risks, issues, dependencies and constraints associated with the portfolio, leading the development and implementation of solutions to overcome these. It would suit someone who can bring strong leadership and operational judgement to the role.
How the role is set up
As a Project Manager, you will play a vital role in planning and managing the successful delivery of a portfolio of projects within our region’s 5-year rolling capital programme. Where someone would start
Managing and evaluate risks, issues, dependencies and constraints associated with the portfolio, leading the development and implementation of solutions to overcome these. Ensure National Highways reputation is maintained throughout delivery of projects by delivering best practice customer and stakeholder communications Proactively manage interaction. Programme management, financial reporting and risk management against the capital expenditure budgets for all projects in scope, ensuring effective financial and contractual practi.

What is expected
- Proven portfolio and project management experience (related qualifications (. MSP, APM, Prince2) is desirable.
- Recognised qualification in relevant engineering discipline and /or proven experience in successfully delivering complex projects or programmes, ideally within infrastructure or co.

- Evidence of contract management with specific experience of NEC 4 forms of contract.
