Due to new and exciting projects, our team in APT Skidata is growing further - join us as a Project Manager.
As Project Manage you will oversee all aspects of a project using planning, monitoring and controlling processes. Responsible for the completion of the project and to this end will perform a variety of tasks including setting deadlines, assigning and tracking responsibilities, monitoring and summarising progress of the project. The Project Manager will handle more than one project at a time.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure that once a sale is made that the project is managed effectively to ensure that the customers’ expectations from the sale are metEnsure the project is completed within the committed time scales (including project plans)Planning required resources internal & externalEnsure that the project margins are hours and expenses – managing project budget)Ensure there is a quality installation provided, completion of on-site documented auditsAttend client meetings on site where requiredSupport of the sales teamMinimise exposure and risk on a projectEnsure project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately – specific completion certificatesEnsure all work is conducted with full regard to Health and Safety of our customers, staff and subcontractorsAdherence to CDMBuilding strong and long term customer relationshipsAttendance of required rhythm meetings and conference callsAwareness of Skidata/supply partner productsAdministration of expenses, holidays and sickness is managed in an efficient and timely mannerFollow up with clients where necessary on unpaid invoicesAccurate forecasting of project income and completionResolves and/or escalates issues in a timely manner,
Profile
What we are looking for
We are looking to employ someone who is self-motivated, confident with a strong sense of achievement, the individual will ideally have been exposed to a project management role with basic knowledge of electrical and cabling installations and the ability to manage on site personnel and customer expectations. Other qualities include:
Effective Project ManagementKnowledge of Parking systems or security systems would be advantageous or any similar field such as construction environments, security systems, fire systems, building systems for example.Health and safety risk assessments/CDMVariation and addition Proposal and Quotation generationOperate within a CRM environmentGeneral business knowledgeSpecific knowledge of accepted accounting practices and revenue models, P/l and cost to completion projections)Understanding of pricing modelsExcellent ability to communicate orally and in writing at all levels in the organisationSkills or experience with personal computers, including: email, personal scheduling, word processing and electronic spreadsheet skills, internet, intranet, and client server architectureClient liaison and customer focusAble to work under pressure and make important decisions and abide by themKnowledge of Parking Systems or Security Systems would be advantageous but not a requirementGood administration and co-ordination skillsStrong personal influencing & communication skillsStrong motivation to achieve, well organised and structured approachEnsure that all activities are conducted within our Health and safety and Environmental policiesHealth & Safety trained (, SMSTS) an advantage but training will be providedTo undertake any work of an appropriate nature as directed by the Installations managerFull UK driving licenceRight to work in the UK,
