Project Quantity Surveyor focuses on full commercial management of a residential groundworks and infrastructure project.

What the role involves

  • Full commercial management of a residential groundworks and infrastructure project.
  • Manage budgets, cost plans, and detailed forecasts.
  • Measure and value civil engineering works including drainage, roads, and infrastructure.
  • Managing subcontract procurement, packages, and accounts.
  • Preparing and agree interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Monitoring cash flow, cost reporting, and CVRs.

Skills and requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering and/or residential groundworks.
  • Strong technical understanding of infrastructure works (roads, drainage, S38/S278/S104).
  • Experience managing projects independently from a commercial perspective.
  • Strong contractual knowledge (JCT/NEC experience beneficial).
