Prototype Wireperson — Competitive Rate focuses on production of wiring looms/cable assemblies: comfortable with crimping, soldering, lacing & splicing to aerospace standards.
What the role involves
- Production of wiring looms/cable assemblies: comfortable with crimping, soldering, lacing & splicing to aerospace standards.
- Extensive knowledge of cable types, connectors, cable assembly techniques and applications.
- Able to liaise with in-house engineers with technical queries.
- Provide build solutions for prototype assemblies.
- Able to work to IPC 620 Class 3.
- Willing to provide on-site support at customer premises when required.
Skills and requirements
- Experience in similar work essential (ideally within the Defense.
- Demonstrated capability by skills test.
- Full driving license.
- Possess all requirements for successfully meeting formal Security Check (SC) criteria.
Confirmed role details
- Length of contract is minimum of 3 months and up to 6 months.
- 37 hours per week, typically comprising of 8 hours Monday-Thursday, 5 hours Friday.
- Working Week: Mon-Thurs = 8 hours paid (8.5 hours Onsite), flexible start/finish (as early as 7am start, 4pm finish, or as late as 9am start, 6pm finish. Friday = 5 hours paid (ea.
