Quarry Operative

This Quarry Operative role is focused on operating excavators safely and efficiently on quarry working faces and throughout the site. It would suit someone who can bring careful technical judgement and practical problem-solving to the role.

How the role is set up

Experience operating 50T excavators in quarrying, construction, or heavy industry. Company Pension Scheme.33 days annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays.

Where someone would start

Operate excavators safely and efficiently on quarry working faces and throughout the site. Carry out remedial quarry development works including benching, grading, drainage, and material movement. Supporting extraction, stockpiling, and loading operations in line with production targets.

What is expected

• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to carry out routine machine checks.
• Geotechnical experience advantageous, although training will be provided.
• CPCS, MPQC, or other relevant plant operator certification.
