Radio Systems Engineer focuses on provide customer support to end users to triage faults/issues.

What the role involves

  • Provide customer support to end users to triage faults/issues.
  • Providing 2nd line technical support to field based engineers relating to radio faults.
  • Provides technical support for the development, construction, maintenance and optimisation of radio networks.
  • Assist with fault finding/repair or project work as necessary.
  • Attend customer sites to perform site surveys, system maintenance.
  • To partake in Out of Hours telephone support as part of a rota.

Skills and requirements

  • Someone with 2nd Line Radio Services experience, including maintenance and fault resolution.
  • This position is based in Chippenham, Wiltshire – providing 2nd Line support for national radio contracts.
  • Due to the nature of this role successful applicant must ideally have current SC clearance including CTC Enhanced Level 2 or be eligible to obtain those clearances.

Candidate fit

  • Personal and on-site Health and safety.
  • Liaison with and co-ordination of both Client and 3rd Party contractors.
  • General awareness of RF and electronic test equipment.
