Reception Teacher
Reception Teacher focuses on the successful reception teacher will work closely with parents, the eyfs lead.
What the role involves
- The successful Reception Teacher will work closely with parents, the EYFS lead.
- Support staff to secure strong social, emotional and academic development.
- The Reception Teacher will join the staff during induction sessions before January 2026 to ensure continuity for the children from day one.
- Deliver a stimulating EYFS curriculum that promotes language, play and exploration.
- Maintaining learning journeys, complete formative assessments and use observations to shape next steps.
- Leading transition arrangements into Year 1 and liaise with families to support each child’s needs.
Skills and requirements
- Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.
Candidate fit
- Qualified teacher with demonstrable Reception/EYFS experience.
- Strong knowledge of Early Learning Goals, observation techniques and assessment.
- Empathetic, organised and committed to early childhood development.
