Regional IT Manager
The Regional IT Manager position centres on as well as being a hands-on support resource the role would include some light managerial tasks. It would suit someone who can bring careful technical judgement and practical problem-solving to the role.
Role overview
IT Support roles are often defined on a 1st, 2nd, 3rd line tiering system; this role requires somebody who can work a little at all these levels as well as possessing good manageri. Onsite IT Support: working as part of a virtual IT team to provide customer support, troubleshoot and resolve IT incidents and requests (tickets).
Technical work involved
As well as being a hands-on support resource the role would include some light managerial tasks. Monitoring of tickets, including escalating where required. Liaising between the local site and Enterprise IT teams (Infrastructure, Apps etc.).
Technical skills and experience
- Computer related Degree/Diploma/Microsoft or any IT Professional Certification and/or equivalent work experience.
- At least 7 years IT support experience.
- Experience using an incident management system, such as ServiceNOW.
Job details
- Resolve IT incidents and requests (tickets). Where a resolution cannot be found then you would be expected to escalate accordingly.
- By IT support we refer to multiple proficiencies, such as but not limited to.
- Ensure compliance of and react to information from Enterprise Anti-Virus and other security tools.
- Servers, switches, and wireless access points in conjunction with a remote Infrastructure team.
