Rehabilitation Consultant

Rehabilitation Consultant focuses on support to the claims assessors regarding the assessment and management of claims.

What the role involves

• Support to the claims assessors regarding the assessment and management of claims.
• Provide clinical guidance.
• Subsequently document comprehensive objective reports to clearly communicate accurate medical.
• Support including recommendations on reasonable adjustments to both employers and claims assessors to achieve a successful absence resolution within the terms of the group Income P.
• Ensuring liability is limited to the time required for the claimant to safely return to work.

Skills and requirements

• A qualified health care professional and where applicable be registered and/or accredited with the relevant professional body (Desirable).
• Some relevant background and recent experience of working in the field of vocational rehabilitation within the insurance industry (Desirable).

Candidate fit

• Knowledge of principles, methods and procedures for diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of physical and mental conditions in order to provide accurate.
• To demonstrate and apply a detailed knowledge of relevant legislation including the Equality Act 2010, Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and all available National Institute for Hea.
• Influencing – able to express views and ideas to relevant parties both verbally and written in order to promote access to relevant support services, overcome return to work barrier.
