This Outstanding academy seeks an enthusiastic Religious Studies ECT to join its successful Humanities faculty. The school values philosophical inquiry and ethical debate, providing a supportive environment for a new teacher to engage students with complex moral and social issues. This role is crucial for developing students' critical thinking.
Core Responsibilities & Teaching Scope- Philosophical Guide: Instructing Religious Studies across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) only.
- Debate Facilitator: Driving high attainment by encouraging sophisticated discussion and structured argumentation.
- Ethics Ambassador: Contributing to whole-school ethical discussions and supporting student initiatives.
- Essential Requirements: Hold or be soon to obtain QTS. Relevant Degree in Religious Studies, Philosophy, or Theology.
- Salary: Excellent salary paid on the national Teachers' Pay Scale (M/UPS).
- Support: Structured ECT induction program and strong support from a collegiate Humanities team.
