What the role involves

• Supervise repairs, maintenance, and gas-related works across council housing stock.
• Ensure compliance with Gas Safety Regulations, Health & Safety legislation, and landlord obligations.
• Prepare technical specifications and tender documentation.
• Maintain accurate records and audit trails.
• Carry out pre- and post-inspections.
• Support to trades teams and contractors.

Skills and requirements

• Good general education including GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Technical qualification and accreditation allowing supervision of gas works.
• Gas Safe registration and compliance with The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998.
• Experience working in customer-focused, high-volume environments.

• We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in North Northamptonshire to assist with the appointment of a Repairs Officer, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at cl.
• £21.50 - £34.00 per hour.
• An experienced Repairs Officer – Gas is required to support the day-to-day operational management of repairs, maintenance, and gas compliance services across North Northamptonshire.
