As a Resident Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, the work centres on supporting services on‑call during out‑of‑hours including General Surgery, Vascular, Gynae‑Oncology and Urology. It would suit someone who can bring multi‑disciplinary meetings about direct patient care to the role.

What the work leans on

We also have community hospital and primary care resource centres providing clinical services outside the main hospitals. Sessional Commitment: 10 sessions contracted with 7 Direct Clinical Commitments and 3 Supporting Professional Activities.

Where the technical work sits

• Supporting services on‑call during out‑of‑hours including General Surgery, Vascular, Gynae‑Oncology and Urology.
• Out‑of‑hours on call provision, supported by an additional non‑resident O&G Consultant, ensuring safe out‑of‑hours support for complex emergency obstetrics and gynaecology surgery.
• Must be able to demonstrate that you: Put patients first by oOffering to help oMaking everyone feel special oShowing kindness and respect Apologizing when things go wrong.

Technical requirements

• CCT or eligible within six months of interview date and can demonstrate evidence that they are expected to achieve CCT within 6 months.
• ATSM in Maternal Medicine / Experience in Perinatal Mental Health care.
• Ability to: -Take full and independent responsibility for the clinical care of patients. -Perform appropriate surgery for emergency gynaecology. -Independently manage women with co.
