The Residential Childrens Worker position centres on in this role you will be part of a team to support the young person’s throughout the day with basic tasks as supporting with meal preparation, cleaning, education and shopping. It would suit someone who can bring warm, steady communication with children and families to the role.

Position involves providing security, guidance, interaction. Interact with professionals such as Social Workers, Probation Officers, Police Officers.

Care and support involved

  • In this role you will be part of a team to support the young person’s throughout the day with basic tasks as supporting with meal preparation, cleaning, education and shopping.
  • Support the young people in environments such as classrooms, courts and police stations.
  • Build strong professional relationships with the service users and other members of staff.

Care skills and requirements

  • Ability to read and understand written work and to write clear and accurate reports.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and easily with young people in a variety of ways.
  • Ability to go wherever service users want to go and participate in all activities.

  • Please be aware that a high majority of our casual teams are offered full-time positions within the first three months from our clients.
