Resuscitation Practitioner (Band 6)

Location:  Central London

Employment:  Full-term, permanent (Monday – Friday)

Flexible Working Options:

  • 5 days a week (40 hrs a week)
  • 4 days a week (32 hrs a week)
  • Salary:

  • 5 days a week: £45,000 – £50,000 per year
  • 4 days a week: £36,000 – £40,000 per year

    Role overview:

    As a Resuscitation Practitioner, you’ll play a crucial role in clinical emergencies, providing leadership and mentoring, and participating in acute clinical shifts.

  • Remain clinically acute by participating in external acute clinical shifts
  • Take a leadership role in clinical emergencies within the unit
  • Use ALS instructor status to develop resuscitation skills within the team
  • Ensure ALS/ILS staff comply with RCUK requirements through monthly assessments
  • Oversee and document emergency system checks, ensuring accuracy
  • Deliver robust clinical skills training
  • The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience as a registered Nurse, Operating Department Practitioner or Paramedic working with the unwell adult
  • Experience with managing/participating in cardiac arrests and medical emergencies
  • Must hold ALS or ILS instructor qualification
  • Nurses with an A&E or Resuscitation background are highly desirable
