Revenues and Benefits Systems Officer focuses on supporting the maintenance, configuration, and development of the council’s revenues and benefits system (academy).
What the role involves
- Supporting the maintenance, configuration, and development of the Council’s Revenues and Benefits system (Academy).
- Assisting the Systems Manager in delivering a high-quality service that meets statutory and legal requirements.
- Provide expert system support and advice to internal teams on functionality, reporting, and system updates.
- Maintaining system accuracy by managing data updates and ensuring timely production of reports.
- Supporting the testing and implementation of system upgrades, releases, and improvements.
- Resolving day-to-day system issues.
Skills and requirements
- Significant experience in Benefits assessment (e.g., Housing Benefit.
- Strong understanding of Benefits legislation, processes, and workflows.
- Experience working with financial data and reporting.
- Strong Excel skills (including lookups, pivot tables, and data manipulation).
