The Opportunity & Role Profile
This Outstanding academy seeks a highly motivated Chemistry ECT to join its Science faculty on a part-time basis. The school requires an individual passionate about chemical reactions and lab work, focusing on Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This part-time role offers a structured curriculum and dedicated mentoring time, ideal for an ECT balancing other commitments.
Core Responsibilities & Teaching Scope
- Reaction Specialist: Instructing Science (Chemistry) across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) only, proportionate to the teaching fraction.
- Practical Pioneer: Driving high attainment by fostering strong practical skills and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of experiments.
- Lab Support: Assisting with the preparation of materials for practical lessons.
Compensation & Benefits
- Essential Requirements: Hold or be soon to obtain QTS. Relevant Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Salary: Excellent pro-rata salary paid on the national Teachers' Pay Scale (M/UPS), reflecting Inner London weighting.
