Outstanding Science department

A highly successful secondary school in Ealing is looking for a Science Technician to start a full-time, permanent position in January 2026. The school is seeking a proactive and well-organised individual to support the delivery of practical Science lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Science and teaching staff to ensure that laboratory activities run smoothly and safely.

This mixed secondary school, rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, educates approximately 1,400 students aged 11–18 and has developed an excellent reputation across West London for its academic excellence and inclusive ethos. Experience and Qualifications

Previous experience as a Science Technician (school or laboratory setting preferred)

Sound knowledge of health and safety procedures within a lab environment

Ability to prepare, maintain, and organise equipment and materials for practical lessons

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Relevant scientific qualification (e.g. A-Level or degree in Science) desirable

Salary

The salary for this Science Technician position will be paid to scale on a direct school contract.
