As a Teaching Assistant, the work centres on providing targeted support to students who may require additional help, including those with special educational needs (SEN). It would suit someone who can bring patient, consistent, and calm in a learner-focused classroom setting to the role.
Who the work supports
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting both teachers and students within the classroom. Assist in creating an engaging learning environment, provide one-to-one or small group support, and help ensure all students can access the curriculum.

Providing targeted support to students who may require additional help, including those with special educational needs (SEN). Collaborating with teachers and other school staff to monitor student progress. Supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
