Skills and requirements

  • Liaise with the Emergency services, as required.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in security.
  • An SIA Door Supervision (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) license is desirable for this role.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

  • Work as part of a team of uniformed, well trained, professional Security and Campus Safety Officers working on a rotational 12-hour shift pattern working an average 35 hours per we.

Additional role context

  • Be part of an Operational Security Team providing a service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, that includes the following areas.
  • Active engagement with a range of people including students, staff, and visitors.
  • Operating a modern 24/7 Security Control Room.
