Security Officer

Security Officer focuses on ensure the safety, security, and wellbeing of spectators, staff, and performers.

What the role involves

• Ensure the safety, security, and wellbeing of spectators, staff, and performers.
• Managing crowd movement and behaviour in accordance with event plans, venue policies, and licensing requirements.
• Provide a strong customer focused service, offering clear information, assistance, and reassurance to attendees.
• Monitoring entry, exit, and circulation areas to prevent overcrowding.
• Work closely with supervisors, control rooms, emergency services, and fellow team members to ensure seamless event operations.
• Maintaining a highly visible stewarding presence to deter unsafe behaviour and promote a safe environment.

Skills and requirements

• NVQ Level 2 Spectator Safety.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Confident completing incident and accident reports.

Candidate fit

• Maintaining order by enforcing event and ground regulations in a calm, confident, and professional manner.
