SEMH Class Teacher focuses on deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs.

What the role involves

  • Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Supporting pupils with SEMH needs, promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals.
  • Report on pupil progress.

Skills and requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with SEMH, SEND, or in alternative provision (desirable).
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and inspire pupils.

Confirmed role details

  • Temporary until July 2026.
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm.
  • £130 – £210 per day (dependent on experience).
