What the role involves
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs.
- Supporting behaviour management using positive strategies and de-escalation techniques.
- Help pupils develop emotional regulation, confidence, and social skills.
- Assisting teachers in delivering structured and engaging learning activities.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with students.
- Maintaining safeguarding procedures and contribute to a safe learning environment.
Skills and requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
