SEMH Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant focuses on supporting students with semh needs and associated behavioural challenges in and out of the classroom.
What the role involves
- Supporting students with SEMH needs and associated behavioural challenges in and out of the classroom.
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to help students regulate emotions and stay engaged in learning.
- Implement behaviour support strategies consistently and effectively.
- Encourage positive behaviour, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.
- Help create a calm, structured, and safe learning environment.
Skills and requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally with SEMH or behavioural needs.
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach to challenging situations.
- Ability to use initiative and remain consistent in approach.
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners and improving outcomes.

- Part-Time, Term Time only.
- Start Date: September 2026 or sooner.
