Job description

As a SEN Early Years Teacher, the work centres on supporting young children through safe routines, learning activities, and lesson-by-lesson care. It would suit someone who can bring specialism in teaching pupils in Early Years to the role.

Who the work supports

To specialise in leading and delivering a range of core curriculum subjects to pupils aged up to 5 with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and additional needs. Teaching and supporting students with a range of special educational needs (SEN).

How support shows up

Supporting young children through safe routines, learning activities, and lesson-by-lesson care.

The approach that fits

Specialism in teaching pupils in Early Years. Experienced – ideally with at least 2 years in a SEND environment or similar setting supporting pupils with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and additional needs. Including mainstre. Passionate about working with students with SEND needs.

What needs to be in place

  • Relevant childcare, early years, or classroom-support experience.
