SEN Education and Engagement Specialist

SEN Education and Engagement Specialist focuses on too many people, too many challenges and too little support can leave them unwilling or unable to attend.

What the role involves

• Too many people, too many challenges and too little support can leave them unwilling or unable to attend.
• Deliver fun, personalised learning sessions on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis with young people with SEN or SEMH needs in the Oxford area.
• Monitoring and reporting on student progress after each session and setting clear, achievable targets to support ongoing development.

Skills and requirements

• Experience (at least 1 year) as teachers, tutors, teaching assistants, SEN specialists and education professionals who have directly supported young people with SEN/SEMH needs.
• An up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.

Additional role context

• Running sessions during the school day (term time only) that typically last 3 to 5 hours.
• Conducting risk assessments and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed.
