SEN Education and Engagement Specialist
Job description
The SEN Education and Engagement Specialist position centres on monitoring and reporting on student progress after each session and setting clear, achievable targets to support ongoing development. It would suit someone who can bring warm, steady communication with children and families to the role.
How the role is set up
Working 1:1 or 2:1 with children and young people in their homes or specialist settings in London and surrounding areas. A background in Primary, Secondary, Functional Skills or Post 16 teaching, or specialist SEND environments.
Where someone would start
Monitoring and reporting on student progress after each session and setting clear, achievable targets to support ongoing development. Too many people, too many challenges and too little support can leave them unwilling or unable to attend. supporting learners and helping maintain a positive learning environment.
What is expected
- Experience (at least 1 year) as teachers, tutors, teaching assistants, SEN specialists and education professionals who have directly supported young people with SEN/SEMH needs.
- An up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
