Job description

We’re recruiting experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support a large primary school in the BS10 area with a strong, established SEN provision.

This is a structured setting where support staff play a key role in helping pupils access learning, manage routines, and develop confidence.

The role

You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including:

  • Autism (ASC)
  • ADHD
  • Speech and language needs
  • SEMH (social, emotional and mental health)
  • Learning difficulties

Support will take place across:

  • 1:1 support for EHCP pupils
  • Small group interventions
  • In-class support
  • Dedicated SEN spaces and quieter provision areas

The school uses consistent routines, visual support strategies, and targeted interventions to support engagement and behaviour.

What you’ll need

  • Experience working with children with SEN
  • Confidence supporting behaviour in a calm, consistent way
  • Ability to adapt support to suit individual needs
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

The details

  • 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
  • £14.25+ per hour (PAYE)
  • BS10 location

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
