SEN Support Assistant KS1
Job description
This SEN Support Assistant KS1 role is focused on delivering 1:1 support tailored to the individual pupil’s learning and emotional needs. It would suit someone who can bring calm, reassuring, and able to maintain a consistent approach to the role.
How the role is set up
Work within the schools SEN provision, supporting pupils in Key Stage 1 through a combination of 1:1 sessions and small-group interventions. Your support will help children with a range of additional needs; including social, emotional, and learning-based challenges and engage positively with their work and build confide.
Where someone would start
Delivering 1:1 support tailored to the individual pupil’s learning and emotional needs. Helping pupils remain regulated, focused, and ready to learn. Able to support learners with patience and structure.

Calm, reassuring, and able to maintain a consistent approach.
What is expected
- Experienced supporting children or young people with additional needs (school or transferable experience welcomed).
- Relevant teaching, instruction, or learner-support experience.
