What the role involves
- Staff work closely together to provide personalised support for pupils with SEND, creating a safe and stimulating environment for all learners.
- Provide targeted support, and adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of pupils.
- Deliver, and assess high-quality lessons and interventions for pupils with SEND.
- Monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with class teachers and teaching assistants to support inclusive learning.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with additional learning needs.
Skills and requirements
- Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.
Candidate fit
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching pupils with SEND in a primary school setting.
- Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable to meet diverse pupil needs.
