SEN Teacher focuses on deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

What the role involves

  • Deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Supporting pupils with a variety of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with EHCP targets.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents and external professionals.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

Skills and requirements

  • Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.

Candidate fit

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
  • Strong understanding of EHCPs and differentiated learning approaches.

  • Deliver engaging and personalised learning to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
