SEN Teaching Assistant 1 to 1 focuses on assisting in the delivery of differentiated lessons, ensuring the student is engaged and able to access the curriculum.

What the role involves

• Assisting in the delivery of differentiated lessons, ensuring the student is engaged and able to access the curriculum.
• Supporting the student in their social and emotional development, helping them to build resilience and confidence.
• Implement individual learning plans and behavior management strategies tailored to the student’s needs.
• Provide feedback to teachers and other professionals about the student’s progress, challenges, and achievements.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment to help the student succeed.
• Supporting the student with personal care or other specific needs, as required.

Skills and requirements

• Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.

Confirmed role details

• Age Group: Key Stage 3 (11-14 years).
• Temporary to Permanent.

Additional role context

• A compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our SEN school in Wallasey.
• This role is designed to support a Key Stage 3 student with Autism (ASC), ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
• As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with an individual student to support their academic progress, personal development, and emotional well-being.
