Sen Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant focuses on supporting pupils with pmld/cldd in all aspects of their learning and development.

What the role involves

• Supporting pupils with PMLD/CLDD in all aspects of their learning and development.
• Assisting with personal care and mobility, including moving and handling and hoisting (full training provided if needed).
• Supporting pupils with complex medical needs, including those with epilepsy.
• Using communication aids and sensory resources to engage and motivate pupils.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver individualised education.
• Dedicated consultant support throughout your placement.

Skills and requirements

• Previous personal or professional experience supporting children or young people with PMLD/CLDD (school, residential, or care setting).
• Understanding of safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
• A patient, positive, and compassionate approach.
• Have a Enhanced Child DBS or willing to obtain.

Confirmed role details

• Cambridge, CB24.
• £89.38 - £100 per day (dependant on experience).
• Full-time / Long-term / Temp-to-perm.
