SEN Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant focuses on provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day.

What the role involves

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day.
• Supporting the pupil to access learning in a safe and positive way.
• Implement agreed behaviour management strategies.
• Build a trusting and consistent relationship with the child.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals.
• Encourage engagement, independence, and positive outcomes.

Skills and requirements

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN and/or behavioural needs.
• Confident supporting pupils who require close supervision.
• Calm, resilient, and physically active approach.
• Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Confirmed role details

• Full Time | Long Term.
• Support a child with additional needs who requires close supervision throughout the school day.
• £95- £100 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications).
• Potential for future permanent opportunities.
