SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
This Teaching Assistant opportunity with EduTalent Group are working with a specialist SEN school in Hassocks who is built around work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging, practical and sensory-based learning. It would suit someone who can bring encourage independence, communication and life skills development to the role.
How the role is set up
Contribute to a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment. One role will be Monday–Thursday, and the second role will be Mondays and Thursdays each week.
Where someone would start
Work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging, practical and sensory-based learning. Supporting pupils with a range of SEN needs within a specialist setting. Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and engagement throughout the school day.
What helps someone build confidence
Encourage independence, communication and life skills development.
What is expected
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (essential).
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils with additional needs.
Job details
- 8:45am – 3:30pm (paid lunch break included).
