SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
As a Teaching Assistant, the work centres on we’re partnering with welcoming, inclusive primary schools across Redbridge who are searching for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children across the primary phase. It would suit someone who can bring play a key part in a child’s school journey, supporting pupils with additional needs to grow in confidence, communication and independence to the role.
Who the work supports
Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. Helping children regulate emotions and stay engaged in learning.

Working collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to track and support progress. supporting learners and helping maintain a positive learning environment.

What needs to be in place
- A calm, patient approach and the ability to build trust with young learners.
- Experience supporting children with SEN, or a strong passion to specialise in this area.
- Relevant teaching, instruction, or learner-support experience.
Job details
- In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
- All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
