Learning Support Assistant
Lichfield
£462.80–£475 per week
Full-time | Long-term | Start March 2026
We’re seeking a compassionate and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming SEND school in Lichfield. This is a full-time, long-term role where you’ll support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them build confidence, independence and life skills through a personalised curriculum.
You’ll work closely with teachers and therapists to ensure every student is supported in a way that truly works for them.
Your Role Will Include
• Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with diverse learning, social and communication needs
• Assisting students with emotional regulation, behaviour and independence skills
• Leading intervention and nurture sessions to boost confidence and engagement
• Supporting pupils with needs such as ASD, speech and language difficulties, and moderate to complex learning needs

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND
• A calm, patient and positive approach to supporting behaviour and emotional needs
• Able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
• Confident communicator who can adapt to different learning styles
• Able to provide references and complete an enhanced DBS check
