SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
This Teaching Assistant role is focused on monitoring progress and provide feedback to teaching staff. It would suit someone who can bring warm, steady communication with children and families to the role.
How the role is set up
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting pupils with a variety of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties. Access to a wide range of SEN schools across Islington.
Where someone would start
Monitoring progress and provide feedback to teaching staff. Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment. You may work on a 1:1 basis or with small groups, helping pupils access the curriculum, manage emotions, and develop social and academic skills.
What is expected
- Experience working with children with SEN (school, care, or youth work).
- Ability to adapt to different school settings.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
