SEN Teaching Assistant — Newham (Plaistow / East Ham)
Teaching Assistant focuses on provide 1:1 support for pupils with sen to help them access learning.
What the role involves
- Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEN to help them access learning.
- Supporting small group interventions focusing on academic and social development.
- Assisting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs.
- Help pupils manage emotions and behaviour using positive reinforcement strategies.
- Supporting the class teacher in adapting and differentiating lesson materials.
- Implement strategies and targets outlined in EHCPs and individual support plans.
Skills and requirements
- Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.
