Teaching Assistant focuses on provide 1:1 support for pupils with sen to help them access learning.

What the role involves

  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEN to help them access learning.
  • Supporting small group interventions focusing on academic and social development.
  • Assisting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs.
  • Help pupils manage emotions and behaviour using positive reinforcement strategies.
  • Supporting the class teacher in adapting and differentiating lesson materials.
  • Implement strategies and targets outlined in EHCPs and individual support plans.

Skills and requirements

  • Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.

Confirmed role details
