Job description
This Teaching Assistant opportunity is built around providing pastoral care and emotional regulation support. It would suit someone who can bring pupils may present with complex emotional needs and require consistent, calm, and structured support throughout the school day to the role.
Who the work supports
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis. Ex-Forces or similar disciplined environments.
How support shows up
Providing pastoral care and emotional regulation support. supporting learners and helping maintain a positive learning environment. Able to support learners with patience and structure.

Pupils may present with complex emotional needs and require consistent, calm, and structured support throughout the school day.
What needs to be in place
- Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour.
- Youth work, care, or mentoring experience welcomed.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
Job details
- Start Date: February 2026.
- Full-time (8:30am 4:00pm).
- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary).
- From per hour (dependent on experience).
