Teaching Assistant focuses on supporting students with special educational needs during lessons and school activities.

What the role involves

• Supporting students with special educational needs during lessons and school activities.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support where required.
• Assisting students with classroom tasks, learning activities, and daily routines.
• Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and independence.
• Supporting students’ emotional, social, and academic development.
• Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Skills and requirements

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Willingness to travel to Scarborough when required.
• Genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.

Confirmed role details

• Redcar and Cleveland (Willing to travel to Scarborough).
• £92 – £115 per day (depending on experience).
• Long Term, Full-time.
• Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide tailored support, helping students engage in learning.
