Care Assistant focuses on providing 1:1 support and small group support for pupils with additional needs.

What the role involves

• Providing 1:1 support and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
• Supporting children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs.
• Supporting emotional regulation, routines and positive behaviour.
• Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team.
• Encouraging confidence, independence and engagement in lessons.
• Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development.

Skills and requirements

• Relevant care, clinical, support, registration, DBS, or safeguarding requirements may apply.

• We are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant in Salford to work within a mainstream primary school supporting pupils who require additional support in the classroom.
