SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
This Teaching Assistant opportunity is built around providing tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN, ensuring individual needs are met. It would suit someone who can bring warm, steady communication with children and families to the role.
Who the work supports
Involves both 1:1 and small‑group support, helping pupils achieve their individual learning goals in a nurturing, structured environment. This is a full-time role starting as soon as possible and continuing until December.
How support shows up
Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN, ensuring individual needs are met. Assisting with classroom activities, sensory programmes, and behaviour support strategies. Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment in line with safeguarding and school policies.
What needs to be in place
- Relevant Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or SEN qualification.
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school or care setting).
- Experience supporting pupils with ASC, SEMH, or complex learning needs.
Job details
- In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
- All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
- Competitive, dependent on experience.
- Additional detail: Training or development support may be provided.
