SEN Tutor focuses on deliver engaging, differentiated lessons and 1:1.
What the role involves
- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons and 1:1.
- Small-group tuition tailored to the needs of learners with ASD.
- Use autism-informed strategies (e.g. structured teaching, visual supports, low-arousal environments, clear routines) to maximise engagement and progress.
- Supporting pupils across Year 3 (KS2) and Year 7 (KS3), adapting approaches appropriately to each age group and stage.
- Record pupil progress against individual targets and EHCP outcomes where applicable.
- Managing behaviour positively and proactively, de-escalating where needed and promoting emotional regulation and wellbeing.
Skills and requirements
- Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.

- Temporary / Supply.
- Start Date: September 2026.
Candidate fit
- Qualified teacher status (QTS/QTLS/PGCE) OR a relevant teaching/practitioner qualification and proven classroom experience.
- Ability to plan, differentiate and adapt learning for a range of needs and abilities.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) and the right to work in the UK.
