SEN Tutor focuses on in the spennymoor area, we are seeking specialist tutors to support students from ks2 to ks4 with a range of special educational needs, particularly in english and maths.

What the role involves

  • In the Spennymoor area, we are seeking specialist Tutors to support students from KS2 to KS4 with a range of Special Educational Needs, particularly in English and Maths.
  • Deliver engaging 1:1 lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Supporting students’ academic and emotional development.
  • Provide feedback to parents and professionals.
  • Complete basic attendance and progress reports.

Skills and requirements

  • Experience teaching or tutoring SEN learners (KS2 or KS4).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply).
  • Two years of verifiable references.

Confirmed role details

  • Up to 15 per week per student.
  • Start date: September 2026.
  • Duration: Ongoing.
  • Access to CPD training and learning resources.

Additional role context

  • 1:1 SEN Tutor – Key Stage 2,3 & 4.
  • As an SEN Tutor, you will support students with ASD, ADHD, and a variety of SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Focus on re-engaging learners with their education, building their confidence, and helping them achieve clear and measurable progress.
